Jen Howard is an American singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Although coming from a blue-collar, religious and home schooled upbringing, Jen’s music is a mix of Folk, Roots, Reggae and Sophisti-Pop. Her music’s central themes include; human nature, love, courageous motivation and intentional compassion for ourselves and others.

Sue Orfield plays the tenor saxophone with the whimsy of Sonny Rollins, the passion of Kurt Cobain, the soul of Bill Withers, and the joy of Ella Fitzgerald. Along with a compelling mastery of her instrument, Sue brings to the stage a powerful presence and joy of all things musical.

Sue has played with many musical greats over the years, including Bo Diddley, Bobby McFerrin, The Indigo Girls, Ann Wilson (Heart), Dizzy Gillespie, Ivan Neville, Jo Dee Messina, among others. She tours internationally with several groups, including The Tiptons Sax Quartet (Seattle/NYC), and Ellen Whyte (Portland, OR).

Sue was voted “Best Horn” by the Washington Blues Society for the years 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004.
In 2014 and 2015, Sue has rated her very own category in Volume One’s “Best Of The Chippewa Valley” Reader Poll : The Best Sue Orfield!

Sue makes her home in the Chippewa Valley of Wisconsin, and plays locally with bands from all over Wisconsin and Minnesota, including The Chippewa Valley Jazz Orchestra, AcoustiHoo, Catya’s Trio, The Butanes, Deep Water Reunion, The Jazz Women All Stars, and many more.

Josh Gallagher attended the Berklee College of Music on a full ride scholarship and played in the Brubeck Institute Jazz Sextet. After living in New York City, he returned to Eau Claire. Catch this masterful and swinging pianist in action leading his group.

Renowned bassist Jeremy Boetcher swiftly rose to prominence, captivating audiences nationwide with his remarkable versatility and musical prowess. In recent years, he has graced the global stage, touring extensively with icons like Sean Carey and Richard Johnson. Notably, his exceptional talents have been showcased in prestigious venues such as Jazz At Lincoln Center Doha and Jazz At Lincoln Center Shanghai.

Welcome into the mind of HINDSIGHT, the multi-faceted collective created by five individuals who aspire to add a new perspective to the name of modern jazz and live music. Based out of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, this unique 5-piece consists of university students and friends: Hannah Durham (Vocals), Jake Shockman (Winds), Zach Luginbill (Keys), Fletcher Myhre (Percussion), and Esme Olstadt (Bass). Combining their individuality with their shared love of jazz, improvisation, and creation, the quintet is bringing their skills and sounds to the downtown Eau Claire area this summer. Taking inspiration from multiple eras and styles, as well as from one another, the group has a little something for everyone to enjoy. And while they’ll be looking back to pay homage to the greats that laid the foundations for jazz music, HINDSIGHT is focused on the bright future ahead of them!
