Back by popular demand! Our ten day Supper Club Celebration returns in January of 2020. Enjoy an entirely unique downtown experience as The Lakely transforms into a traditional Wisconsin supper club. Order from a menu of Wisconsin classics made with local, high-quality ingredients, and explore modern interpretations of traditional supper club fare. Add in timeless traditions of live jazz from Sue Orfield– not to mention a few surprises – and you’ve got yourself the makings of one heck of a night!

Sue Orfield has been playing the saxophone for close to 40 years, with the last 10 or so right here in the Chippewa Valley. Her playing is informed by blues, joy, bluegrass, sadness, jazz, crazy, rock, and everything else she’s ever heard.

The Lakely staff will once again be leading a Wandering Spirits Cocktail Class focusing on what else, the Old Fashioned. What better time to give folks a chance to dive deep into the world of Old Fashioneds than right in the heart of our two-week-long Supper Club Celebration? Considering that supper clubs were in large part responsible for The Old Fashioned becoming Wisconsin’s de facto state (alcoholic) beverage, it seems like the perfect time to learn about the history of this storied cocktail classic, as well as being guided on an instructional tour of many of its various forms. Participants need only show up thirsty for both knowledge and classic drinks.

Class begins at 6:00pm and lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
